Market Screening will screen total of 62 films from 37 companies, of which 17 films are officially selected for the 24th Busan International Film Festival and 44 films are planned to be shown as Market Premiere, released for the first time at the Asian Film Market 2019. Access to Market Screening facilities is strictly limited to Market Badge holders and to those holding screening invitations issued by sales companies representing the films. Market Screening 2019 will take place over 3 days, from Saturday, 5 October to Monday, 7 October in six
Lotte Cinema Centum City theaters.
Market Screening titles this year will meet buyers by showing diverse genre films as well as interesting stories. There are 14 films that are both Market Premieres and BIFF 2019 official selections, including closing film Moonlit Winter (Sales company: FINECUT) selected for ACF Post-Production Fund and APM 2018 Project, and Haifa Street (WIDE) nominated for New Currents which depicts Baghdad occupied by Al-Qaeda in 2006, and director Ray YEUNG’s new film SUK SUK (NEW VOICE PRODUCTIONS LIMITED) which is a story about a gay relationship in twilight years. Please check the ‘BS’ mark representing the films selected for the BUSAN International Film Festival at the same time in the Market Screening Schedule. This year’s Market Screening involves a wider variety of films than ever, including stunningly extravagant horror and thriller HOME SWEET HOME (PRODUCTIONQ JSC) from Vietnam, DETENTION from Taiwan, and BLACK MAIDEN (MANDARINVISION CO., LTD.) series from Japan (AMUSEMENT MEDIA ACADEMY CO., LTD.) alongside European horror films such as FUNHOUSE (SF STUDIOS) from Sweden and IL SIGNOR DIAVOLO from Italy (WIDE). Also, there are films that touching story such as THE WAYFARERS (ADARSH TELEMEDIA PRIVATE LIMITED) to be presented as Market Premieres, which are expected to be of great appeal to buyers interested in various films from all over the world.

The 22nd Asian Project Market (APM) is accepting pre-booking registration to arrange meetings between the 29 officially selected projects and participating industry professionals from all around the world. The APM meeting pre-booking online service is available to Market Badge registrants through the APM Meeting Registration website. Don’t miss out on your chance to explore the latest projects from established Asian directors and producers, as well as new up-and-coming talents
Registered APM project meetings will take place in the APM Zone at Hall 4C, Exhibition Center 2, BEXCO, from Sunday 6 October to Tuesday 8 October.
Previous works by APM directors are also available through Online Screening to facilitate a better understanding of the directors participating at APM.
